Weddings......

I attended so many weddings in 2008. How about you? I did several mini-albums for shower presents. They really went over well because everyone felt they were such a personal gift, since they were hand made. I enjoyed doing them. The two I have posted were done in the brides color scheme. I haven't gotten to see them since they filled them - but I look forward to seeing the final product. Of course one of the couples moved to florida - but I guess I can use that as an excuse to go visit. Yeah right! Oh well, I can dream can't I. (It helps just to think about places with warmer climates - since it is so stinkin' COLD!). I hope everyone enjoys their day off and I will chat with you next year! Take care! Since I am feeling better - I plan to get some things done in my craft hoval. I need to do some organizing so that I can really enjoy my THERAPY session to the fullest degree possible!!!!!!! Hope you can too!

If you would like a special order album made for a wedding gift, feel free to send the request to the link at the top right corner of this blog. But, please feel free to use my designs to create your own masterpiece.

Graduation

One of my dear friends wants me to make an album for her brother. He just graduated college. I think I am going to do it similar to the one posted here. I did it over the summer for a family friend when he graduated from high school. It is always fun when I have the photos to add to the layout. I find it harder to do the blank ones that I put on ebay. Awesome job to everyone that got so creative over the holiday. I have really been enjoying checking out everyone's blogs. have a good night!

Under the Weather

Not really feeling up to par, or very creative. I did manage to get a couple of scrapbooks done for ebay. I have slowly been working on the 12 recipe albums for my family. I have kinda been doing them assembly line still -got all the fronts and backs done on all of them. Then got all the recipes copied - I am leaving in my step moms handwriting - felt this would be more personal. So - just kinda doing things at a turtle pace this weekend. Hope you have an awesome weekend! And a creative one too.

And do not even BOTHER wearing make-up. After you see it, come back and let me know what you thought....

Is it summer yet????

I am so ready for summer to get here, I know - I know we are only a week into winter. BUT YUCK! I function better in warmer weather. Looking forward to having a few days off. If my daughter cooperates, I hope to me in my therapy room - the biggest part of those three days. Oh, ok - just to make my husband happy I guess I will at least come out and fix some food. I think the crockpot and left overs are the key - tho - don't you???

BuRRRRRRRRR

Well, it is still freezing here! No snow yet, so I guess I should be happy for now. Trust me tho - I would love to be snowed in - you know where you would find me. My therapy room.

I need to make some more albums, both the ones I made this weekend and posted on ebay have bids. I guess I better make my daughters first (tee-hee). I also got one for a special order, she wants a rosy - victorian theme, that shouldn't be to hard. So needless to say - YEAH - they are still selling even after christmas. WOO-HOO!

Fun Sunday!

It so cold here. I know others have it worse but...........BURRRRRRRRR!!!!!! Since It is freezing outside I started to think SPRING!!!! So, I sat down and made a Spring Paper Bag Album. My daughter threw a fit over it, and wants it for herself - but tooooo late I already posted it on ebay. I promised her if it did'nt sell I would for sure let her have it to put her and her friends photos in. So even if it does sell, I will still make her one of her very own. I also actually got some of my own stuff done as well. Not my 12 x 12 layouts but I started on the recipe albums that I am making with my late step-moms recipes. I think I mentioned before I am making 12 of them for family members. I got all 12 of the books assembled and the front and back covers sewn on. I am going all out on these in memory of our sweet Linda. So my need for therapy has been fulfilled this weekend. I love to SCRAP!!!!!!!!!

Today's Creation...

Today, I made a book to list that is very similar in design to the other DREAM BIG paper bag album. I got since an overwhelming response with that one. I still had some of the same papers and embellishments - so I created another one similar. I have already listed it on ebay. That is the only one I have listed right now. I am hoping to get a couple more done this weekend, but you know what???? I am really needing to work on my 2008 family album. I don't think I have worked on it since August - so I have a few 12 X 12 layouts to work on. Of course, you all know - it is not really work - it my THERAPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! have an awesome weekend!

Several have requested I show some other views of the "DREAM BIG" Album...here ya go...

DREAM BIG PART 2

Why did I bother....

Ok, so we have had Muffin since October, when we first got her - I wanted to make sure her and Raisin got along. So, I went out and bought another dog bed - that way Raisin would have one and Muffin would have one. I didn't want Muffin to feel slighted - since Raisin had one. Why did I bother feeling the need to do this????? As you can see from the photograph. Raisin seems to like the new bed that I got Muffin better then her old bed. Now who says pups can't be as much fun as our human children??????

Bye! Bye!

Bye, Bye to another album. It has been bid on and 5 are watching it. Well back to the drawing board. But not tonight. I need to get some housework caught up on. Thanks to everyone for checking out my ebay auctions and being a supporter. My only fear is that after season is over, sells will be over - but then again there is always something else right around the corner.

LET IT SNOW!

It keeps threatening , but nothing but ice and bluck!

YEA! I had to end my action for the DREAM BIG Paper Bag Album, because I had requests to end it sooner because they wanted to give as a gift. So I ended early. Each auction is bringing in more money. YES! I enjoy doing them so much - it really is therapy for me. Since we aren't getting any snow for real, I did another ..."LET IT SNOW" album and posted it tonight on ebay. I just did a three day auction, because I figure I could still get it there by the 24th.

DREAM BIG!

I got to get one album complete yesterday, then I went over and helped my Dad do some household chores. He really is keeping up with the house pretty well. He is not much of a cook so several people have been keeping him supplied with homemade meals that he can just microwave. He seems so lonely and lost, but I know it will take time. What a horrible time of year for him to lose his mate. (of course, what time a year would'nt be??)

I will post some pictures of the album, I have already listed it on ebay. Already have two watchers. So that is a plus. I am slowing down a bit, because I have gotten all my stepmoms recipes from my Dad, and I am going to work on making her sisters and my sisters and her daughter -n- laws a recipe scrapbook of her favorite recipes. So needless to say that is 12 albums I am going to be working on for family. Whew~!

Our New Addition

Well it has been over month now, but we adopted another Shih-Tzu pup. At first Raisin was freaking out. Even our vet said that it would take a few weeks for them to mesh, because Raisin thinks she is a human and is still wondering why on earth you brought this dog home. Originally her name was Jaycee she was already 6months and named. Well we changed it to Muffin. Yep, so we would have a " Raisin Muffin " - yes I know, Just let it go. ;o) She has fit in so well, the night we got her spayed was the worst - but now she is healed and she is soo much fun. She has caught on to everything - the steps, going outside - EVERYTHING. Yes, as spoiled as Raisin. So now we have two pups that think they are human. Oh well, there could be worse things - right? Right? Raisin and Muffin just play and romp. We had to take Muffin in for shots and while she was gone Raisin just laid at the front window whimpering the entire time. They are now very close companions. I love seeing them together - I always felt Raisin was lonely when we weren't here. (Atleast that is one of the bardering tools I used on my husband ;o) . Have a great weekend - I got to get to my craft room - I sold 3 more albums on ebay yesterday - which only leaves one on there. Oh, the sacrifices I have to make - all day in my craft room - sheesh! Hee! Hee!

WHAT A FUN RIDE!

I must say I am having a really nice ride selling my albums on ebay. Everyone has been so nice with the feedback. It really makes me feel good. Especially when I look at other peoples albums and see how talented they are. Some of the projects I have seen on peoples blogs are AMAZING! I have just never felt I measured up to their creativity and artistry, but I guess everyone has something that they are good at. Everyone can look at projects and see different ways to make it work. I think that is why scrapbooking is so much fun - because you are the creator of the project so you can be free with and do it your way. I went to several others blogs today and really enjoyed spending time with the artists and getting to know them. Atleast I feel like I know them, even tho they are complete strangers. After I finish writing this I will post some of the albums have sold this week. Be safe!

SELLING ON EBAY!

I finally took the advice of my loving husband, friends and relatives and started selling my albums on ebay. So far I have sold over a dozen. I have received much inspiration by checking out others listings. WOW! There are some fantastic, artists and scrappers on ebay. I have also found serveral with blogs that I can follow. I just feel so close to these people and yet, I do not even know them. But I can certainly relate to their passion for crafting! It just gives such a tranquil feeling to be able to sit and do a craft that you really enjoy.
