Mickey Card

Well ladies, I did not get anything done yesterday that I wanted to. Have you ever had one of those Sunday's? I did not even list anything on ebay this week. I just was having one of those non productive lay on the couch days yesterday. Sigh! I guess my body was telling me I needed to rest. So - I did.

Tonight, I made a card for my relative that is still home recovering from surgery. I am still sending her my daily Disney card. Ok, what is the secret tip to keep demensional glue from bubbling? The hands and feet turned out pretty smooth - but I ended up with some big ole' bubbles on Mickey's eye balls. I've tried the smoothing it out with a tooth pick - notice I said "tried" - I think I am just going to get the crackle kind and then let that be my excuse for my bubbly messes. Seriously tho - send me your tips - I really need help. Of course as I am typing this I am thinking to myself - why didn't you just emboss - you goober???? Sigh!

I love the Mickey card. The only trick I know of is have a needle or pin havdy and pop the bubbles while strring the glaze around. It has worked 95% of the time. The times it doesn't work perfect you get a slight unevenness to the finish but still no holes or bubbles. The trick is working fast with the pin before it starts to dry. HTH

That last post was suppose to say have a pin handy. I always have fancy tools within reach like Stick pins, a single edge razor blade and a Q-tip. You know, the highly technical Dollar Store tools!

hahaha Well, I am glad YOU knew...cuz I sure didn't! lol
And very very cute card! The only thing I have ever heard of is to have the glue down at the end of the tip ready to come out when you start (letting the air at the top out), then don't stop/start again until you are finished with a particular area. Does that make sense? Oh well...I like your idea of getting crackle glue better! lol
Thanks for the congrats! :P
