TWO RECIPE BOOKS COMPLETE!

I have been working diligently on the family recipe books. As many of you know my step mom died this past October. So I got her recipe box from my Dad and made copies of her recipes. Most of them were written in her own handwriting - so that is why I copied them. I wanted to make them as personal as possible. I have successfully completed two of them tonight. All the insides are complete on the rest - I just need to finish the covers on the rest. Whew! I have enjoyed doing it and hope that all her siblings enjoy it. I also made one for her kids and my siblings. And, I also made one for her very best friend that she worked with for many years. I adapted the covers from the very talented Renee. Please go check out her blog - she is so talented and awesome. Her Paper Bag Albums are such an inspiration to me - she is truly an artist! Creative Paint & Paper

This would probably have to be one of the most wonderful gifts a person could receive. I imagine that a lot of happy tears will be shed when you give these gifts. What a wonderful way to remember your step mother.

I love your recipe book pages. I have been collecting embelleshments to do the same even though I don't have many recipes yet, I thought I could start small and not be so overwhelmed. Yours are beautiful!

I have been wanting to do a recipe book like that. My grandmother was in the process of handwriting recipe books for us granddaughters before she passed in December so I think that I am going to finish them for her to give to the other granddaughters, this gives me some inspiration to do them...Thank you for that!
