SNEAK PREVIEW

Our official designing for Paper Blooms will begin in April, but Leah didn't want to make you all wait that long to see a little something! Our very talented DT Shelly made this stunning project using blooms from the shop. She used two collections, Cobalt blue and Rustic Blooms. She also incorporated some pearl and beaded stick pins. Such a lovely project to have displayed in one's home, don't you think? Amazing job Shelly!There is still plenty of time to be entered into the drawing to win some blooms! Scrapbooks ETC

First of all, Scrapbooks, Etc. is my favorite subscription, it is packed full plus they send me email updates and offers. I am inspired by every issue that I get. Yesterday I found out that so is Scrapper Mom , she posted on her blog a layout that she submitted to the magazine for the October issue. Her layout totally rocks! So please go to her blog and check it out!

She made a great observation tho - why sit back and let everyone else submit when we can too! So, she gave me the motivation to submit a layout too. I was inspired by the same scrap lift she was.

Anyway, HERE is a link to the call, and here is my Vicki Boutin inspired layout (actually more Scrapper Mom inspired). It was fun and good therapy for my constant need of scrapbooking - so that's what really counts - right?? It is from our Summer Vacation.

Mom's

This is the time of year I start thinking about my Mom. Even though she has passed - I still like to make something in her Memory. This is in her Memory...a 4X6 altered notebook. She loved sitting on on our porch and enjoying the birds singing and watching the flowers coming in bloom. I miss seeing her on the porch when I came home from work. Here's to my MOM! If you can give your Mom a hug, or phone call today, please do it.

Enjoyed making this layout of my dh and dd. It always just brings a smile to my heart when I see them getting to enjoy some quality time together. And I promise that I didn't think - oh what an awesome scrapbook page and run and get my camera when I saw them - OH - OK I can't promise! ;o) GUESS I AM BUSTED!!!!!!

Thinking of you card...

Since my relative got home from the hospital, I have been dropping a card in the mail everyday to try to help cheer her day. She is going to be off work for 5 weeks. You think that sounds nice - but sometimes it gets a bit boring especially if you have just had surgery. So, I have been trying to divert her mind to our Disney trip. ;o)

Thanks Kath Parker for this challenge I have to go to a folder with a title starting with the letter 'K' (for her name) and to find the 11th photo (as the letter 'K' is the 11th letter of the alphabet).

All I can say is this brings back some memories..this is of my daughter when she was a week or so old - as you know she is 8 now! What a cutie she is! No matter what age!

Anyone who wants to play along must go to a folder starting with "J" for the starting letter of my name and then to the 10th folder because "J" is the 10th letter of the alphabet). ENJOY!!!!

DISNEY ON THE BRAIN

I must have Disney on the brain, because I wanted to make a thinking of you card for a close family member that had to have some surgery. This is what I ended up with - of course she will be going to Florida with us when we go...so I thought it would help her get her mind off of her hospital stay and on to happier thoughts - A DISNEY VACATION!!!!! The bottom two photos show the inside of the card - the first photo is the front.

World Traveler Paper Bag Album

This is another Paper Bag Album I made for ebay. This has three paper lunch bags sewn together. There is 12 pages, including the front and back cover. I also made three large pull out tags for journaling or photo that are tucked inside a pocket that is formed by the open end of the paper bag ( this makes it have three pockets - you can tuck whatever in there - tickets or other keepsakes). I made this vacation themed Paper Bag Album for today's ebay listing. This time I made a ribbon that ties it shut, I have never done that before. It was fun trying to figure out how I wanted to accomplish that. I think it turned out well. Hope everyone had an awesome weekend!

I Wish, I Wish.........

I successfully did it again! I did some scrapping for myself, before doing my special orders. YAY! ME!

Here is what I challenged myself - use scrap pieces of paper, and items I got on my thrift store excursion and glitter and machine sewing. Do you think it is to busy??? Be honest - I can take it! (Besides - it is my daughter that makes it awesome, anyway you look at it - tee-hee!) Happy Crafting!
