I Wish, I Wish.........

I successfully did it again! I did some scrapping for myself, before doing my special orders. YAY! ME!

Here is what I challenged myself - use scrap pieces of paper, and items I got on my thrift store excursion and glitter and machine sewing. Do you think it is to busy??? Be honest - I can take it! (Besides - it is my daughter that makes it awesome, anyway you look at it - tee-hee!) Happy Crafting!

PaPa's Treasures.....

A couple of years ago we went to the The Jungle Forest Cafe' while we were there I took a photo of my daughter with one of the restaurants life size elephants. My father loves Elephants (big collector - has hundreds of statues, etc) , so I enlarged the picture to a 5 X 7 and scrapped it and put it in a frame for my dad. He loves it and has it hanging in his kitchen. Fun project and great, memory to give someone that really has everything - you know the person that is hard to buy a present for.

While I was at work today, my mind wondered a bit....yes to my scrapping. What else right???? So I thought how much I enjoy scrapping, that is why I decided to sell items on ebay (it wasn't to start rolling in the dough - LOL) - but then I reflected on how I haven't really done anything for my scrapbooks. So I have come up with a plan of attack. I am going to start doing at least one personal layout just for my albums before I start on any ones special orders, or blog challenges. I think this sounds reasonable, don't you??? So, after I had an enjoyable dinner at Famous Dave's - YUM! YUM! I scrapped this layout. I have successfully finished one layout for our family vacation album from this past summer - now my next plan of attack is to finish the entire album before we go on this years family vacation in a few months/ Can I do it? I think I can, I think I can, I think I can..........

Thinking of You...

I made four cards tonight. They are long over do to be sent. So, tonight I sat down and made them. I have several friends that have been going through a rough patch - so I wanted to let them know I was thinking of them. The first three are all handmade, the last one I just altered because I liked the verse so much.

NEW TOUR ATTRACTION!

This post has nothing to do with my crafts at all, but I wanted to give a shout out about my secular job. We are in the midst of having a grand opening in April. Mini-Albums

I found some really cute mini paper bags to make some albums for ebay. They are really pretty spring colors. Just cute. When I got them all put together, they measure 4.5 inches by 4.5 inches. I made 9 tags that can be pulled out. Just a little cute mini-mini album to put family photos in and give as a gift or keep on your desk at work.

TWO RECIPE BOOKS COMPLETE!

I have been working diligently on the family recipe books. As many of you know my step mom died this past October. So I got her recipe box from my Dad and made copies of her recipes. Most of them were written in her own handwriting - so that is why I copied them. I wanted to make them as personal as possible. I have successfully completed two of them tonight. All the insides are complete on the rest - I just need to finish the covers on the rest. Whew! I have enjoyed doing it and hope that all her siblings enjoy it. I also made one for her kids and my siblings. And, I also made one for her very best friend that she worked with for many years. I adapted the covers from the very talented Renee. My BIG Secret Revealed...

I decided not to wait until tomorrow, because a big storm might be coming through here - so possible power outages all around.

I have been asked to be a Designer for Paper Blooms. YAY ME! This is a new challenge blog that I hope everyone will participate in. It's gonna ROCK! There is still room for 2 more designers. Do you love embellishments? Then this design team call is for you! I am looking for two (2) talented ladies to design with products from my brand new Etsy shop, Paper Blooms and to be a part of the new Paper Blooms Challenge Blog!

*Compensation: As a DT member you will be sent a variety of embellishments that are carried in the shop to play with!

*Requirements:

*This is a three (3) month commitment.

*You MUST have a blog that you keep updated regularly.

*Must be able to complete and give ideas for challenges that will be on the Paper Blooms blog. Challenges will be posted once a week.

WINTER MEMORIES

As a scrapper, each season brings more exciting things to scrapbook. Well, I was sitting here reflecting on the winter season and it made me smile to look at current photos of my daughter and then some past layouts, I have done from previous winters. This was done a while back, but it still makes me smile.....she just cracked me up looking down at her hands as if to say - "HEY! WHERE DID MY HANDS GO????"

Here are a few more spiral notebooks I made for ebay. I hope to get some scrapping done this weekend. I have two special order albums to work on. Plus, I am still trying to get those 12 recipe albums done for my family members, plus I have a special order for a recipe album. TRUST ME, I am not complaining! I love it! As, you all know this is great therapy for me. Keeps me out of trouble (well, accept for the part where I go shopping for papers, embellishments etc....LOL)! Have an awesome weekend!

Got a "LOVE" album completed tonight to list on ebay. I had fun with it. Just did lots of color and heart detail.
