More special order pictures....

Here are the rest of my special order pictures, she received it yesterday - so it now safe to post. I did not want to spoil the unveiling. ;o) It is a shower gift for a workmate. She gives it to her tomorrow. I hope she likes it.

Use emboss resist technique????

This week at Paper Blooms Blog our challenge was to use the emboss resist technique. Of course I not being into card making as much as scrapping - thought to myself "what the hec is that??? Thankfully we have the world wide web - all I had to do was type it in and I instantly got about 100 lovely bloggers telling me how to do and showing me through the wonders of UTUBE. We could either do a layout, card or alter something. I decided to do a layout of my daughter's latest school picture. I used some of Leah's beautiful blooms as embellishments and then decided to use the resist emboss technique as my title lettering. Paper Blooms Challenge #8 - RED, WHITE & BLUE

This week at Paper Blooms Blog our challenge was to do a red, white & blue themed project. We could either do a layout, card or alter something. I decided to do a layout of my sweet step mom that passed last year. I used some of Leah's beautiful blooms and pearl stick-pins to help attain the blue and white and then I choose a rose dp because Linda was always, " our rose among the thorns". THE STASH GAME!!!!!

My friend Julie over at Welcome to the Tucker & Wolek Blog! :) has a friend - Jane in Australia...that started something COOL...and passed it on to Julie, now Julie has passed it on to me - and now I am passing this on to my followers. WHEW!!!! They had some scrap "stash" that they weren't using and asked any of their blog friends if they would like it! Well! OF COURSE - DUH! Their condition is this....YOU MUST GET SOME of YOUR SCRAP "STASH" and forward it to a home that would JUST LOVE to use it!!!! That's EASY, right????? So, that's what I'm gonna do!!!! I will pick a name from the comments I get here....get together some of my stash and forward it on to U....and U will do the same with some of your stash!!!!!! SOUNDS LIKE FUN, RIGHT???? All Hail Princess Toot......

Some of you maybe wondering what I am referring to, others may know because they follow Callista's fantastic blog over at Down the Rabbit Hole. If not let me bring you up to speed. Callista started a fun game called, "Cinnabun across America" where she sent a hat out to some of her followers and the hat resembles a certain Princess' hair style. Yep, you got it "Princess Leia." Ok, well my daughter and I did it and then we sent it to Maggi over at Katamommy Damacy .
Well her entire family joined in the fun including her sweet daughter. I just could not resist scrapping this beautiful child, so I did. I sent it off to Maggi as a RAK. Now, tell me is she not the cutest thing ever?????

Paper Blooms Challenge #6 / Blog Candy Giveaway!

Yes, another week has just seemed to zoom by! This week over at Paper Blooms Blog the challenge is Mother/Woman of Influence gift/card/LO (including woman of influence as not everyone has a good relationship or has a mom still alive). I was able to use Leah's beautiful red & black blooms from her shop Paper Blooms ETSY Store to make an Altered Mom Notebook. Even though my Moms aren't alive anymore - I made it in their memory to Thank them for everything they did to help me be who I am today. THANKS you are in my thoughts and heart everyday!

Now, since I don't have a Mom to give this Altered Notebook to, I thought I would offer it up as some candy. The Perks of My day......

Just thought I would share with you what joy I get every time I drive into my driveway......are they precious or what???? I think they hear our vehicles as soon as our tires hit the street. You will most likely see this photo scrapped soon............LOL!!!!

Happy Anniversary

Today I really got a lot of scrapping done. The weather was just to cold and rainy to do the needed lawn work - so I locked myself in my scrap room. Oh darn! LOL! I got several pages done from our 2008 vacation and I also did this layout in honor of some good friends. Their 11th Year Wedding Anniversary was in March and we took them out to dinner to celebrate. We really had a fun night! Hope everyone has an awesome rest of the weekend.
